A press release earlier this month announced that the highly anticipated opening of Brightline intercity rail service from Miami to Orlando has been indefinitely delayed as the private rail operator works through the “final stages of certification and crew testing.”

Brightline celebrated the completion of construction on the Orlando leg of the route in June 2023. No opening date has yet been rescheduled.
