Associate Planner - Local Planning Assistance

This position is a 20 hour a week temporary position that will last six (6) months with possible extension. 

Our Community Development Division is seeking to fill up to four (4) vacancies. Candidates should be prepared to attend community engagement events during evenings or weekends as these events are often held outside of regular work hours.

This is an entry-level position with directed professional planning and project work. Will assist in the research and analysis of planning data. Will organize, plan, and facilitate engagement efforts. Will gather information to aid in the development of regional policy and collaborate in project teams to assist in the development of policy and planning practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher with major coursework in urban planning, public policy, sociology, or related field AND one (1) year of experience in qualitative research, public policy, community engagement, land use planning, or related field. OR Associate degree AND two (2) years of experience.

Salary:  $29.69 - $44.82 Hourly
