We're seeking an experienced, sharp B2B Sales Representative to join the Planetizen and Planetizen Courses team to help build our outbound sales efforts for advertisements, group training, job listings, and more. The B2B Sales Representative will report to and work closely with our Director of Product and Operations to create outbound campaigns and call prospective clients to understand their pain points and articulate how we can help them.

The Planetizen team is focused on growing our audience and our output, and the B2B Sales Representative will have an active and essential role in that growth.

Key deliverables 

  • Prospecting: Prospect and generate leads to build a robust pipeline of potential customers in the urban planning industry, including private sector consultants and companies, public sector planning departments, and higher education institutions.
  • Sales: Close deals and achieve sales targets.
  • CRM: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
  • Process: Implement and optimize sales automations, such as email campaigns, lead nurturing workflows, and follow-up sequences to streamline the sales process.
  • Strategy: Deliver comprehensive tactical sales plan in the first 90 days.

Key requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales.
  • Strong prospecting and research skills to identify and target potential customers in the urban planning industry.
  • A track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within or adjacent to the urban planning industry, eLearning products, advertising sales, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in CRM management and automation, preferably Pipedrive. 
  • Experience working remotely on a small team.

In the first 90 days

  • Deliver sales plan and establish updated sales process.
  • Generate 20 qualified B2B leads. 
  • Close 10 deals per month across advertising and training products. 

Location & Availability

  • Available 9am - 6pm in any U.S. time zone
  • Our office is located in sunny Los Angeles, CA. This position is available for fully remote work.

Compensation

We offer a highly competitive salary which depends on your qualifications, experience, education, and certifications. Our salary package includes:

  • Paid time off (15 days increasing to 20 after four years)
  • Holiday time off (~10 days per year).
  • Health insurance (95% employer-paid).
  • Dental insurance (95% employer-paid).
  • Company-sponsored 401(k) plan with employer match (after 60 days).
  • $50,000-$65,000 base salary, on target earnings of $65,000-$80,000, and uncapped commissions.
