The Township of Pine is a rapidly growing community approximately 17.3 square miles in area, and is located approximately 20 miles north of the City of Pittsburgh. The Township is currently seeking a consultant to assist in the development of a new Comprehensive Plan and has prepared a Request for Proposals document that can be distributed upon request. The Request for Proposals will be officialy released on January 2, 2002, and the following schedule has been established; A deadline for consultant questions regarding the request for proposals is January 30, 2002; Deadline for submittal of proposals is February 15, 2002; The Township of Pine will short list the proposals received by February 18, 2002; Consultant interviews of the short list of consultants will begin March 4, 2002, and the consultant selected and project beginning will be March 18, 2002. It is expected that the public development of the Comprehensive Plan will take approximately one year to complete.
