In the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) received $80,681,000 in funding for its Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Program. This program helps equip HUD’s customers with the knowledge, skills, tools, capacity, and systems to implement HUD programs and policies successfully and sustainably and provide effective administrative and managerial oversight of HUD funding.
HUD announces this NOFO for those eligible to apply to be HUD TA Providers under the Community Compass Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Program. HUD will use qualifications and experience to assign projects under a demand-response system, and TA providers will work on projects identified by HUD with the high involvement of HUD staff. This funding is not for TA providers to work independently on firm-specific, independent projects.
HUD expects TA providers to:
- Take a localized, holistic approach to technical assistance.
- Have experience partnering with local community-based organizations to satisfy specific technical assistance assignments.
- Increase local capacity.
- Support equitable engagement and outcomes.
Applications for the Community Compass Technical Assistance NOFO are due to HUD by 11:59:59 PM EST on March 28, 2023.
A Live NOFO Overview Webinar will be offered on February 7, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM EST via Webex and will include a question-and-answer session. Please use the link below to join the conference.
