Location: Carmel, IN
WebsiteWHAT'S NEXT FOR CITIES? (AND SUBURBS AND TOWNS?)
City leaders and top researchers will gather to find out in Carmel, Indiana, a fascinating retrofit laboratory of social, environmental and economic innovations.
We'll discuss new zoning codes, street standards, sustainable energy systems, and much more in depth, at the International Making Cities Livable (IMCL), a premiere peer-to-peer gathering of city leaders and researchers since 1985.
NEWS UPDATE: Although we expect that most if not all attendees will have been vaccinated, the City of Carmel is offering a FREE Johnson and Johnson (single dose) vaccination to any attendee who wants it on arrival.
We will also have ample space for social distancing in our spacious 1,700 seat venue (limited to 350 attendees).
Check out our stellar lineup of speakers, including experts on urban health and well-being, equity, affordability, street and suburban retrofit, and the tools and strategies for a transition to a new generation of more sustainable cities, suburbs and towns. We'll celebrate public spaces as we emerge from the pandemic, and assess its many lessons.
We hope you'll join us! https://www.livable-cities.org/
